The Trebbio vineyard gives rise to the eponymous Gran Selezione, which is the Chianti Classico that best represents the vocation of the territory. Here, the Sangiovese grape expresses itself in a powerful and elegant wine. In the vineyard, alongside this variety, there are also vines of Ciliegiolo and Colorino, local varieties considered minor and almost abandoned, but which represent a biodiversity heritage that Castello di Meleto has managed to preserve.
The vineyard is exposed to the South and East, and the altitude ranges from 380 to 420 meters above sea level. The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Trebbio stands out for its elegance and, at the same time, for the power that, with aging, best expresses the potential of the wine.
