Camboi

IGT Toscana Rosso

Camboi is the acronym for Campo dei Buoi, an area of Meleto that was used for the breeding of oxen from the Middle Ages to the early 1960s. In the 1970s Malvasia Nera del Chianti vines were planted in this same area, which today produces a unique wine.

Camboi is the latest creation from Castello di Meleto, but it is quickly making a name for itself within the lineup. This wine is challenging to categorize as it is quite rare for the Italian wine scene. The Malvasia family is a boundless one yet it is very difficult to find a single-varietal Malvasia Nera del Chianti as historically it has always been used in blends with other Tuscan native varieties
